Look, Anet. Let me be the first to thank you for trying. But put simply, your method of trying to correct the Soul Reaping problem is STILL ridiculous. Whether you are aware of it or not, the initial issue (the exploitation of SR from spirits death) is still an issue, and all you've done is:
1) Pointlessly ruin PvE necromancer play, and STILL yet to fix the initial problem.
2) Made skills that shouldn't be used by non-necros much easier to use by non-necros.
3) Angered the hell out of your community for simply "not listening".

As much as I rofl'd when Gaile responded to the SR thread by saying "Give us your skillbars!" I can't get over my disappointment in them for doing what they did to Necromancers. I don't know if they just can't admit they were wrong (took them MONTHS to revert HA to 8vs8), or if they honestly think that soul reaping needed to be changed, but I suggest they simply do what the community is asking.
Revert it and eliminate spirit-gain.
That's it. Try it. Just undo the sillyness that has been wrought, and TRY our way. Then soul reaping will be back to what it always was and Necromancers will still have their niche'.

Please, Anet. Give something we ask a shot.

PvE necros were only ruined for idiots. That change made virtually no difference to anyone that doesn't have to share braincells with the rest of their family.

QFT!

That's exactly true. If you can't manage energy without the imba soul reaping, you suck at necromancer.
